As Pride month draws to a close, we want to share what Pride means to us.
J’adore Models is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment for all and will not tolerate discrimination and harassment of any kind to our team and wider family.
All members of our staff and talent, including those from the LGBTQ+ community, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect in every workspace we operate in. This means being free from sexual harassment, feeling safe and affirmed in their identity, and having access to clear and supportive processes if issues arise.
We are proud to support our LGBTQ+ staff and talent, and remain deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment where everyone can thrive.
We asked our staff and talent what pride month means to them…
“Pride to me is a state of mind, a feeling of belonging, acceptance and celebration. It’s being thankful for those that came before me and fought the many fights to get us the rights, equality and visibility we have today but also recognising that there is still a long way to go. It’s seeing younger generations of LGBTQ+ people living their authentic lives in unashamed glory. It’s about having and giving hope for a better future for all of us.”Jake, Model Scout
“Pride is not just a celebration. It’s a protest, a movement, and a declaration that love, identity, and self-expression are human rights. It means community, chosen family, and solidarity with all who are still fighting to be heard and seen. It is also a reflection of how far I’ve come, not just in life, but in learning to accept and love myself. It’s about standing strong in the face of a world that hasn’t always been accepting, and saying, I exist, I matter, and I deserve love and respect.”Sayf, FOH & Contracts Lead
“Pride means love, acceptance, and being free to be yourself. I come from a country where being gay isn’t accepted. My younger brother is gay but hid it for years. I encouraged him to open up, sharing how inclusive places like Manchester are. When he finally told me at 29, I was so proud of him. Pride, to me, is about creating a world where no one feels they have to hide who they are.”Moe, Accounts Assistant
“Pride means being grateful for who I am today and what shaped me into who I am, but also honour whoever fought the hardest times in the history so that we can express our pride today.” Hann, Model
“Pride to me means confidence in being your full and true self. Knowing your place and your value in the world and feeling genuinely accepted for taking the space you deserve.” Jess, Director
“Pride isn’t just a month or day of the year celebration, it’s constant recognition that all identities and forms of love should be accepted. It’s about also recognising the work and dedication that has been done over the years to get to the point we are today with better rights and equality and also a reminder that we need to be ever evolving and educating ourselves in support of our LGBTQ+ community.”Sam, Director
“To me, Pride is about celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community! creating space for everyone to live openly, love freely, and embrace their true selves, without judgement.” Rae, Head of Reach and PR
“Pride is a movement that celebrates individuality and welcomes LGBTQ+ community to express themselves into safer spaces.” Jadine, Head of Image and Senior Booker
This month, we have donated £250 to The Proud Trust, whose top priority is improving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people, to thrive and achieve their full potential in all the spaces they exist within.
